Not on every site you can build a convenient gazebo for relaxation. In a limited space or with a small budget, you can build a small tent in St. Petersburg, which can protect from the rain or the scorching sun, having made a comfortable and desired rest in the open air. One of the most important advantages when building a tent with your own hands is that you can organically fit it into the landscape of the site, not content with what garden shops offer you.
In addition, a folding tent can be transferred at any place at your request depending on the desire. In the hot time of the day, having a perfectly located tent by the water, you can feel freshness, and in the evening, a tent near a house heated during a day will help to spend the evening in the fresh air.
But a stationary tent is more practical in terms of design strength and stable in bad weather. To build this, you will only need bars for columns, boards for forming a frame and fabric for walls and roofs.
First of all, the place where the tent will be installed must be cleared from plants, and the earth is well tamped. Further, on the four corners of the future structure, pits are dug up about half a meter deep. In them you insert wooden pillars that will become the basis of your tent. Before installation work, all wooden elements must be primed or painted to ensure durability.
Two out of four columns should be buried a little deeper than other centimeters by twenty in order to provide a slope for precipitation. Otherwise, water and snow will be collected on the roof, which will negatively affect the entire structure.
After installing the columns, they are connected by boards in the upper part. So the frame is prepared. Horizontal crossbars are laid on the roof of the structure, on which the roof fabric will lie.
After that, you need to prepare and sew the fabric for the roof and sidewalls. When choosing a fabric, pay attention to its ability not to miss water. Rubberized options that are more durable and waterproofing are best suited. Provide for the possibility of lifting fabric at least one sidewall opposite to the input. So on a sultry day it can be opened and provided by air current in the tent, which will not let him overheat and stagnate. Having pulled the fabric on the frame, you can proceed to the design of the front of the tent. Of course, you can make it completely open, but to protect against insects it is better to arrange a transparent gauze.
