Plastic lining – inexpensive plastic panels made of PVC masses by extrusion. The material has some features and indisputable advantages that allow lining of plastic to take its niche in the decoration.

The plastic lining in the bathroom is very practical and durable. A huge plus of material is a low price and small labor costs for repairs, fast and easy installation not even by specialists. A variety of decor, low weight and water resistance, good heat – and sound insulation – all these are undeniable advantages in favor of choosing a lining.

How to choose the right panels:

When choosing a lining, special attention should be paid to the ornament and ledges, it is advisable to choose smooth surfaces. Of course, you need to take into account design solutions, but in the bathroom practicality is above all. Any bumps and gaps threaten the accumulation of dirt and lime plaque, which are clogged in the slightest pores, as well as the appearance of a fungus. The choice of coloring depends solely on personal preferences.

Klyimers, self-tapping screws, dowel-grooves or special glue;

Panel fastening options:

On glue. The method is good for even walls, but inconvenient if the panels have to be removed in case of emergency circumstances.

On self -tapping screws. In this case, you should use wood bars pre -treated with an antiseptic for the frame.

Kleimers – special brackets wedging in a special way into the crate. The lining is thus reliably fixed. A huge plus – quick installation, it is necessary to perform only a metal crate.

Chatter

For crate, use metal profiles or wooden bars 10-30 mm. For the stiffness of the structure, the first rail is attached along the floor, and the rest with 40cm steps. Upper horizontal rail, where the panels end, is also required. At the next stage, holes are drilled with a perforator, to which the crate is attached to the dowel-bvs.

Fastening the lining

The cladding with panels should always start from the far corner from the door, since it is the most viewed. Side molding is mounted to the crate, and the first panel is inserted into it and is attached to the frame. All subsequent panels are inserted into the previous. Try to press the lining to exclude cracks at the joints. Back with a hammer, but do not damage the grooves. To do this, you can take an unnecessary piece and use it as a gasket.

For sockets and switches, technical holes are cut out with a sharp knife.

The extreme panel is often wider than required, it is also cut with a cutter. For sealing the cut is recommended to be treated with silicone sealant.
