The standard sizes of the facades of the kitchen are ideas for design

Cuisine furniture standards are based on the principles of ergonomics, which was formed from a number of sciences: physiology, labor hygiene, psychology, anatomy and a number of technical sciences. The ergonomics of the kitchen space take into account the possibilities and characteristics of the nature of the people who use it.

In addition, the standards of kitchen furniture are focused on different growth and saving space in small kitchens. The standard dimensions of the kitchen facades are designed in such a way that it allows you to design any kitchen set that will perfectly fit into the dimensions of your room.

Basic data.

Vertical dimensions:

1. Height: 150-170cm, 165-185cm.

2. The height of the room is 2400-3000cm.

Based on the functioning of the muscle system, taking into account the characteristics and capabilities of a working person, a single height of the working surfaces of the lower row is calculated:

– for growth 150-170cm-850-860mm;

– for growth 165-185cm-900-910mm.

The height of the lower facades:

1. Standard legs – 100-150mm, closed by the base of the corresponding size.

2. Standard thickness tabletop – 26-38mm.

3. Box – H = 720mm. All built -in household appliances and metal mechanisms: baskets, bottles, etc. D. produced according to these sizes.

Simple boxes are divided by a-horrhored shelf into 2 compartments, approximately 350 mm, for the convenient location of the dishes of the usual volumes. For free opening of the wings, a technical gap is required 2 mm from above and below, therefore the vertical size of the facade 720 – 2 – 2 = 716mm.

In another type of boxes, with sliding elements, it is customary to install 2, 3 or 4 rolling compartments, the facade on them is called PSYU – the front wall of the box. We consider the height for each case:

– 2 PSU, 1 gap between the facades: 716: 2 – 2 = 356mm;

– 4 identical PSUs, 3 gaps, for adjustment each gap is 4mm: (716 – 12): 4 = 176mm;

– 3 PSU, are combined from 2 small boxes with a facade of 176mm, and 1 deeper – 356mm, gaps 8mm: 176 x 2 + 356 + 8 = 716mm.

Bottom line: standard height of the lower facades – 716, 356, 176mm.

The height of the upper facades consists of parameters:

1. Apron – the distance from the surface of the countertop to the bottom of the lower box is 600mm, which allows you to not beat your head on the corners of the suspended elements.

2. The average visibility zone called everything at hand 750-1900mm.

3. The height of small household appliances, jars, boxes, plates up to 350mm.

4. The distance from the floor, which you can calmly reach with an outstretched hand, is about 2200 mm, taking into account the shelf.

Thus:

2200 – 860 (height of the bottom of kitchen furniture) – 600 (apron) = 740mm.

2200 – 900 (for higher) – 600 = 700mm.

We calculate the average: (740+700): 2 = 720mm.

Bottom line: taking into account technical gaps 720 – 4 = 716mm – the standard height of the upper facades.

Demand gives birth to sentences.

Adapting production to consumer demand, facades’ manufacturers took into account the peculiarity of some rooms:

small kitchens (to increase the useful area and place for storage);

high ceilings (for more massive furniture).

Thus, other vertical sizes appeared that became standard – 916 and 956mm; Boxes, respectively, with the dimensions of 920 and 960mm, are already made with 2 regiments, with 3 ergonomic compartments of 300 mm.

The same size is ideal for the device of bar racks: 100-150 (legs) + 960 (space closed by facades) + 38 (countertop) = 1100-1150mm.

The difference in the height of the facades is an additional opportunity for design solutions. You can provide for higher boxes (920mm or 960mm) at the edges, which will be connected by a common roof, and in the middle to hang another (720 mm high), you get an original idea of three elements with an open upper shelf.

Note that almost every furniture production expands the mesh of standard sizes, and if you have not found the necessary facades in one manufacturer, then, it is likely to find in another.

Stained stained glass windows, frames, decorative inserts, balusters, consoles and balustrades are made to the standards of kitchen facades. By combining different sizes and elements, you can design a sideboard for dishes, with glass inserts and with an open shelf, chest of drawers for kitchen textiles and much more.
