Capabilities and scope of bulldozers applied.
A bulldozer is a self -propelled, earthenicated wheeled or caterpillar tractor, a tractor or other self -propelled machine equipped with a hung by a working body (dump) fixed outside the base of the chassis. The defense of the unit is located in front of the dump surface and directed away from the base machine. At the same time, the dump is overlapping the dimensions of the vehicle in width.
The bulldozer type tractor is used for mechanization of earthmoving, transport and auxiliary works in the repair and construction of roads, channels, pits and other hydraulic, irrigation, reclamation and construction structures. The bulldozer is used to carry out the following works: layout, layout of sites and tracks, move soil layers at a distance, embankments, etc. This technique is extremely rare, and the light repair of bulldozers T 170 and other models can be performed directly at the construction site, and that is why they are so popular among workers’ brigades.
Bulldozers, depending on the nominal traction force and engine power, are divided into:
– Super -heavy – nominal traction force of more than 30 tons (unit engine power of more than 400 liters. With.);
– heavy-from 20 to 30 tons (250-400 l. With.);
– medium-from 13.5 to 20 tons (160-249 liters. With.);
– Light-from 2.5 to 13.5 tons (60-159 liters. With.);
– small -sized – not more than 2.5 tons (less than 60 liters. With.).
Depending on the design of the working body (dump), bulldozers are divided into types:
– with a non -condensed dump (are simply called bulldozers), the working body in which is constantly in the perpendicular position to the longitudinal axis of the unit;
– with a rotary dump (otherwise the Angldozers), the working body in which can be installed perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the unit or at an angle of 35 degrees in both directions from the axis (left or to the right);
– Universal machines (overpassers), the working body of which is a hinge-washed dump of two halves, each of which or both together can be installed both at an angle and perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the machine.
