Painting a wooden floor
Wooden floors must be painted in order to protect wood from the effects of external factors. Enamel paints are used for floors, and then it is covered with varnish.
You can paint wooden floors in two ways.
The first method is suitable for smooth wood. Dry boards are covered with olifa, then, after three days, covered with the first layer of paint.
After complete drying, the second layer is applied. Now it should pass at least four days.
The second method. Used for flashes with flaws. Paul is covered with olifa and dried. The irregularities in the boards are puttled with oil putty (the color of the paint and putty should match), dry. If the wooden floor is still new and has never been painted, then wood putty can be useful. After drying, they are squinted, put off again, dried, again squinted with fine sandpaper. Then they paint. Wooden floors are painted in three layers. Paint is applied along the direction of the boards. After drying the third layer, the floor is washed with clean warm water, dried, and covered with varnish. This will give an elegant gloss and color saturation. Transparent varnish is applied like paint – in the direction of the boards. The first layer is the thinnest. No need to pour varnish in the gap between the boards. After two to three hours, apply the second layer.
