Popular wall materials

The most ancient of our days of artificial building materials is ceramic full -colored brick. For many centuries, the active use of bricks in construction, its production technology has not changed significantly, however, today it is used less often for laying walls. This, first of all, is justified by the fact that the palm of the championship gradually went rightly to the brick of a hollow, which is characterized by less weight, the best thermal insulation and greater efficiency. At the same time, hollow Britt brick is slightly inferior to full -shaped brick in terms of strength. That is why the basement, columns of foundations and some other elements in the supporting structures are still erected using ceramic full brick. In addition, a full -bodied brick is necessary for laying stoves and fireplaces.

A hollow porous brick is characterized by a special porous structure, as well as special hollow slots. The porous structure allows you to significantly increase thermal insulation and soundproofing properties. That is why a hollow porous brick is ideal for facing and masonry walls. Particular attention during the masonry of such bricks should be paid to the degree of viscosity of the solution-too liquid solution will simply fill the pores of brick, as a result of nullifying its useful operational characteristics.

Another actively used wall material is aerated concrete, which is a representative of cellular concrete and consisting of quartz sand, cement and aluminum powder with the optional addition of lime and gypsum. The quality of aerated concrete depends on the evenness of the volume, uniformity of the distribution and closed spherical pores. Another variety of cellular concrete is foam concrete, which is approximately similar to aerated concrete. The only difference is that in the case of foam concrete throughout the volume, air bubbles are evenly distributed.
