Sometimes owners of private houses are faced with the problem of shallowly lying groundwater. They lead to the fact that constant dampness is installed in the premises. This is especially noticeable, in winter, in abundant condensate on the walls inside the house.
The solution to this problem has many options. Consider some of them – the most simple, but quite effective.
The first way to lower groundwater is that the lowest place should be determined on the site. And there to build (dig) a small pit, in size, approximately three by three meters and such depths that its bottom is below groundwater level. As a result of the flow of water, the water level in the soil will be reduced into it.
The second way is to dig a hole in the basement, then the water level will be below the basement floor, which will lead to a decrease in humidity both in the basement and in the house.
The third way is to lower the level of groundwater – to dig small pits around the house for soil water drainage. Their diameter is approximately half a meter, and the depth is such that after the flow of water there, the groundwater level will become noticeably lower than before.
Sometimes, if this is a problem of a sufficiently large number of houses, at the lowest point of this region, it can be solved by the construction of a collective pond.
