After the publication of an article on contactless automatic plumbing, many questions were received. The essence of these issues is one, you need to save water, but prices for contactless automatic plumbing are “biting”. Is there a cheaper alternative to these goods?
Of course there is!
So, if the financial capabilities of the enterprise are limited, and the water, whatever one may say, has to save, then there is only one alternative – the mechanical cranes of the dispensers. They are called different manufacturers in different ways: dispensers, automatic cranes, cranes with a shutdown timer, pneumatic taps, taps with a metering supply of water, etc. D. In the future, I will call all these mechanisms automatic cranes by dispensers.
Of course, from the point of view of hygiene, they are inferior to non -contact devices, since each time to get a portion of water you need to press the button. But for the price, such cranes (with the exception of cranes of German production dispensers) are an order of magnitude cheaper than their expensive contactless brothers.
Let’s start with the most common models.
Automatic crane dispenser TE15
1. Automatic crane dispenser for the sink (washbasin). The appearance can be viewed in the photo.
There are two main varieties of these cranes:
– Automatic taps of dispensers designed for the supply of one water. Most often it is only cold water. Much less often – temperature -prepared, for example, with the help of a thermostatic valve, water. Water supply to such an automatic cranes is usually carried out using a flexible hose with a nut of 1/2 inch (KFA -Poland Production Cranes – Poland – Italy; or with a flexible hose with a M10 -cranes Grohe, Germany);
– Automatic taps of dispensers designed for the supply of cold and warm water. Such models have a small water temperature controller located, as a rule, on the side of the lower part of the case or the button itself has a second function of adjusting the temperature of the water.
Automatic crane with a regulator
One of the representatives of this family can be viewed in the photo. Water supply to such automatic cranes by dispensers is carried out as a conventional mixer – using two flexible hoses with an external M10 thread at the end. The principle of operation of automatic cranes of dispensers for the sink is very simple. After pressing the button on the case, the water flows for a certain time, about 6-8 seconds for cranes of dispensers of Poland and Italy production. Then the mechanism is returned to the original closed position. The time during which the automatic crane is in the open position is not regulated by the crane of dispensers of Polish and Italian production. Automatic cranes of German production dispensers have the possibility of adjusting the operation time from 5 to 40 seconds.
The service life of such automatic cranes of dispensers directly depends on the number of operations, operating conditions (in some public places there are such visitors that the cranes are breaking after a month of operation. But this is a completely different topic, and not plumbing at all) and is, on average, 1-1.5 years. Then, perhaps, you will have to change the central mechanism – the cranial core.
The cost of automatic cranes of dispensers for one water for the sink begins at about 25 euros. Prices for taps dispensers with a supply of cold and warm water – from 50 euros. As always, I only focus on quality products. For German cranes, the dispensers will have to lay out more, moreover, significantly more. So much more that for such money it is better to put a contactless automatic crane.
The only point that must be taken into account when making a decision to install automatic crane cranes is the minimum working pressure of these mechanisms. The specifics of the operation of the locking mechanism of these cranes are such that the water is finally locked by water pressure in the water supply. Manufacturers of Poland and Italy in the characteristics indicate the minimum working pressure of 0.5-0.6 atmospheres (for German production cranes 1.2 atm). If the pressure is lower – the crane of the dispenser will not completely overlap the water and it will drip from the spout. At the same time, some models make a specific hissing-visual sound. From the experience of work, I advise you to install automatic cranes of Italian and Polish manufacturers on a water supply with a minimum pressure of 1 atm. Then you certainly will have no problems with operation. For the Germans, respectively, 1.2 atm.
According to the method of installation of the taps, the dispensers are divided into desktop, which are installed directly on the sink and wall, which are mounted above the sink on the wall.
That’s it for today. You can buy in Ukraine here: buy automatic taps of dispensers in the online plumber Aquagrand online store.
Good luck!
