Description

The spoon is engraved with a floral design in the bowl and a lovely example of a spoon of this period (over 200 years old)

This is a marriage of perhaps an unstable carving to an ebony base to make a more practical piece

by Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings Shephard 13

The inscription on the reverse couldn't be translated in our office but would certainly add to the story behind this piece should the new owner be able to translate it themselves

A superb Edwardian solid silver sugar bowl
